Mrs. Amanda Clifton
2nd Grade Teacher

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

I was born in Charlottesville, VA, on November 22, 1981. I was saved at the age of 9. During my teenage years I ended up not following the Lord, and had many doubts about my salvation. I gained assurance of my salvation in my late teens at Bible camp. I attended Liberty University and recently graduated.

LIFE VERSE

I love these verses they speak volumes to the Lord’s hand on our lives. Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts I think towards you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me and I will listen to you. And you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all of your heart.”

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am blessed and honored to be teaching here at Temple. This is my first teaching. Last year I was a Teachers Assistant for Appomattox County Schools. I am so excited for what the Lord is going to do.

FAMILY

I have an amazing husband, Adam. He is currently employed by BWX Technologies. We will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary this October.

HOBBIES

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, singing, crafting, painting, and collecting Boyd’s Bears.

INTERESTING FACTS

I am an only child, and very close to my family and my husband’s family. We do not have any children yet, but look forward to some in the future. Right now, we have a cat named Tula, a Basset Hound named, Oliver, and many hunting dogs.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT TEACHING

I like educating every precious child. It is my honor to teach children and to encourage them to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. I feel the Lord has called me to teach and am so excited about the year ahead. I look forward to seeing each child learn and grow, both spiritually and academically.
