BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

I was born in South Boston, VA, November 19th. I lived there for 20 years of my life and then moved to the Lynchburg area. The Lord led us to a good Bible believing church through friends. Ted and I were saved and a few years later I ask the Lord to use me in his service. He led me to Temple to teach where I taught for 23 years and retired to take care of my grandchildren. They are in preschool now so I’m back teaching again.

LIFE VERSE

Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The Lord has helped me find the strength to do a task so many times when I thought I could not do it.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This will be my 25th year of teaching I praise the Lord for using me in his service.

FAMILY

Ted and I have been married for 40 years. We have 3 children. Each of them has 2 children. My grandchildren are the most precious gifts that the Lord has given us. My son, Bryan and his wife Lisa have Logan 7, and Gillian 4. My son, Craig and his wife Lisa have Taylor 5, and Ashley 2. My daughter, Kelly and her husband Brad have Casey 14, and Delaney 5. I praise his name for my family.

HOBBIES

I love refinishing antique furniture, walking, collecting antiques, working with flowers, and going places and doing fun things with my six precious grandchildren.

INTERESTING FACTS

I am a charter member of Temple Baptist Church, and I have taught Sunday School since the beginning of Temple Baptist Church, and I praise the Lord for using me in his service.

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT TEACHING

I like teaching these precious children about the Lord and his love for them and seeing many of them and their families come to know the lord as their savior. I love to see their eagerness to learn and master reading skills during the year.
