BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

I was born in Lynchburg and raised in Madison Heights. I received the Lord at the age of 14. I worked outside the home until our daughter was born and part-time after our son was born. I have held various offices and duties at our church for many years.

LIFE VERSE

My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 -“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; an lean not unto thine own understanding. “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This will be my eighth year teaching K-4. I was a substitute teacher for two years. I have also taught Sunday school and have been a youth group leader. I have also directed our church’s’ day camp.

FAMILY

My family includes my husband, Mike, of eighteen years. We have two children, Brooke, fifteen years old, and Blake, thirteen years old, both of them attend Temple. Also, our 2 babies Maggie, our retriever mix, and Hunter, our husky spitz-mix.

HOBBIES

My favorite thing is spending time with my family, and working on creative memory scrapbooks with my daughter.

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT TEACHING

Being with the children each day! I love seeing the excitement in their eyes when they learn something new! I pray to be a positive influence in their lives, as well as, I want their first experience with school to be fun while they learn!
