BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

I was born on a snowy December day in Lynchburg, Virginia. I have a younger sister and two wonderful parents. I accepted Christ as my personal savior during revival at Bethel Baptist Church. I am very active in my church and enjoy working with the youth. My husband and I live in Amherst with our three wonderful daughters who bring us great joy each day! In May of 1996, I earned a B.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lynchburg College.

LIFE VERSE

My life verse is I John 4:12 - “If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.”

EXPERIENCE

I have ten years of teaching experience. I taught four years in public school and six years here at TCS. I love teaching here!

FAMILY

My husband, Kevin and I have been happily married for sixteen years. We have been blessed with three beautiful daughters, Hailey, Morgan, and Madison Kate. Hailey is fourteen years old and is in ninth grade. Morgan is nine years old and will be in fourth grade. Madison Kate in two years old.

HOBBIES

I enjoy reading, gardening, and my favorite activity is spending time with my family.

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT TEACHING

What I like most about teaching is seeing the spiritual, social and academic growth the children make from the beginning of the year to the end. It’s also wonderful to see the excitement and fun children have while learning.
