April 2008

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! I hope you and your families enjoyed a restful spring break! You’ll need it because we hit the ground running now that we’re back!

Don’t forget about our re-enrollment PTF on Tuesday, April 1, at 7:00 in the auditorium. I promise it won’t last long. There are just a few things I want to make you aware of as you make your plans for the upcoming school year. We’re excited about our new K3 program as well as the Liberty University scholarship program! I’ll tell you more about that on Tuesday evening! Enrollment is open to the public beginning Monday, April 7.

Don’t forget about our Grandparents’ Day Celebration on Friday, April 11. This will be a half-day for students in K4-5th grade. All middle/high school students will be on a regular schedule that day.

Our annual Middle School Formal will be held on Friday evening, April 18, from 6:00-8:00 in the Fellowship Hall. The theme is “Memories for Tomorrow” and is being sponsored by the 8th grade leadership team. The cost is $15.00. All tickets must be purchased by Friday, April 11.

Stanford Achievement Tests will be administered Monday and Tuesday, April 21 and 22. These will be full days of school.

Many of our TCS students are in the TBC Children’s Choir. They will be performing their musical entitled, Little Orphan Esther, on Friday morning, April 25, at 9:00, Friday evening at 7:00, and Sunday evening at 6:00. It’s a wonderful play that demonstrates God’s movement in each of our lives, even though we may not realize He is at work! You won’t want to miss it!

The Beta Club Induction Chapel will be on Wednesday, April 30, at 12:55, in the auditorium. Returning Beta Club members will welcome new inductees. Parents are invited to attend the ceremony and the reception to follow.

Finally, Mrs. Patterson wanted me to let you know that she has some used 1st-5th grade reading books that you can purchase for a reduced price! If you’re interested, please contact her as soon as possible, as they will be sold on a first come – first served basis!

As you can see, there are so many things happening at TCS! Our prayers are with you as you consider your enrollment plans for next year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Sweat
